It’s cold, snowy and just the way some people like it in January…but, it’s time to look toward the summer and fall. This site is a guide to Pocono Mountain recreational opportunities.

In case you didn’t know it, there are two distinct seasons – summer and winter. Although the spring and fall are part of the calendar year, I think of the Poconos as having a long summer with a cool beginning and end.

My first encounter with the Poconos was in 1973. I was hired to be the group sales director at a new ski area called Jack Frost Mountain.

Thirty years later, I was back for the last year of my mother’s life.

In 2006, I had an opportunity to stay in Pocono Lake for three months. It was during that timeframe I began to think about developing a website providing Pocono Mountain information using video, audio and digital images.

There is a wide range of accommodations and recreational opportunities for the entire family. We’ll showcase some of them on this site, and provide links to others.

When you think of going on vacation this summer, take a closer look at the Poconos, there’s more here than you think…including the new Mount Airy Resort and Casino.
